Dance
My passion ever since I can remember. I teach, choreograph and perform.
About me
I am a tap dancer, teacher, and choreographer from Calgary, AB. I continue to develop my artistic voice through practice, research, creation, teaching, and performing in Canada and abroad. I have performed in works by Lisa La Touche, Derick Grant, Michelle Dorrance, Dormesia, and others, with highlights including Fall For Dance North, Fluid Festival, Tap Dance Days at tanzhaus nrw, Tap Liège Festival, the Toronto International Tap Dance Festival, and Danny Nielsen’s 2023 tour of On Foot. I am also an alumnus of The School at Jacob’s Pillow, where I was part of the Tap Dance Performance Ensemble.
Most recently, I toured throughout Quebec as a principal dancer with (in)sight dances’s M/W/D: Sentiment du moi. I am currently researching a new solo work supported by Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and The GRAND Theatre.
Teaching, Choreography, and Private Lessons
I have over 12 years of experience teaching at dance studios, creating choreography, and offering private lessons. I grew up in Calgary training in multiple styles of dance and completed my RAD Advanced I exam before continuing my tap training with the Tri-Tone Rhythm Ensemble under the direction of Tasha Lawson.
I am a graduate of the Tri-Tone teacher training program and hold a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education from Mount Royal University. Through my work, I aim to provide exciting, high-quality education that honours the legacy of tap dance while inspiring connection, curiosity, and growth.

Boys Club Tap Dance Collective
Boys’ Club is a collective of three female tap dancers—Veronica Simpson (Toronto), Elise McGrenera (Vancouver), and myself, based in Calgary. We are deeply passionate about using tap dance as a vehicle to examine power dynamics and the female experience. Our work strives to celebrate female voices within tap dance and jazz music.
Together, we have performed across Canada and the United States, as well as internationally in Spain and Germany.
Judging and Conventions
I have recently expanded my work to include teaching at conventions and judging competitions. I love judging because it gives me the chance to help dancers grow with meaningful feedback while celebrating their achievements. Conventions excite me because I can have a wide-reaching impact over a short period of time to hundreds of enthusiastic students.
I recently served as a judge and faculty member at the Power Dance Convention.
